Condo renovations without tearing out tile
Most of Hallandale Beach is condos, and most condo renovations run into the same limits: association approval, set work hours, elevator bookings and neighbors on the other side of the wall. Microcement fits that well. It is applied in thin coats, often directly over existing tile, so there is far less demolition noise, dust and debris than a full tile tear-out.
Typical condo projects are floors through the living area, bathroom walls and shower surrounds, and kitchen countertops and backsplashes.
Working with your association
Before we start, most associations ask for an alteration application and details on the contractor and the scope. Ask your management office what they need and when work is allowed. We schedule around elevator bookings and quiet hours and protect common areas while materials go up.
Homes west of Federal Highway
The single-family neighborhoods on the west side have the same concrete needs as Hollywood next door: old driveways that have cracked or settled, patios and pool surrounds that need replacing, and garage floors that are ready for epoxy. Close to the ocean, salt air is hard on exposed concrete, so we keep good cover over the steel and recommend a breathable sealer that is re-applied on schedule.
